A Weekend with...an Audi SQ2 Quattro
This sporty little Audi SQ2 Quattro is a real looker in both the urban and rural environment. It packs a real performance punch too.
A short drive up the Evans Pass Road then left onto Summit Road towards the Godley Heads Track to take in the sea views and ozone. This part of Summit Road is a tight technical road with lots of twists and turns, and sheep! The Quattro four wheel drive system handled the turns with aplomb and those brakes pulled up on a dime to avoid those maurading sheep.
The SQ2 Quattro has a 296bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol turbo that sends power to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch box. With quattro traction off the line, it’ll sprint from 0-100 in 4.8 seconds and top out at 250kph. Factory figures, ofcourse.
Audi claim that 100% of the engines torque, 400Nm, is delivered to the rear axle under acceleration and you can feel this power being delivered peeling out of corners.
Cruising around the mean streets of Fendalton and Merivale the Audi SQ2 Quattro handles the Christchurch roads really well, even over on this side of town there are still some questionable potholes and bumps, the steering is light and responsive, compliance and control is well judged for such a high, small but sporty car.
Mona Vale Pose.
Popping to the shops is a breeze and loading up the groceries in the class leading 355-litre boot poses no problem for even the biggest family shop. Ample room for those golf clubs too.
Audi's ICE (In Car Entertainment) is called Audi MMI - short for "multimedia interface" - is a general term that's used around a range of Audi technologies related to the in-car information and entertainment system. At its core, MMI is the user interface and the controller that works with it. Where this was once a dial and a display, there is touch-enabled dials, buttons, voice and steering wheel controls, all feeding into the same system. Coupling the MMI by Bluetooth to your iPhone is easy and opens up a whole new world of ICE!

A fantastic looking Audi with clean Audi lines in an understated colour scheme. This little Audi Quattro is loaded with features too many to list. With impressive brisk performance and driving assistance, the Audi SQ2 is sure to please.
