CGK x Archibalds Audi

Archibalds announced their partnership with up-and-coming snowboarder Carlos Garcia Knight at an intimate function held at the Curator's House.

CGK x Archibalds Audi

Carlos Garcia Knight

Archibalds' history of helping locals and taking a punt on future greats is well documented and perfectly embodied in the current owner John Fairhall. After entering the business as a part-time car groomer in 1971, Fairhall quickly ascended the ranks, and was eventually afforded the opportunity to purchase the business in the early 1980s. Similarly, Carlos Garcia-Knight was a late adopter of snowboarding but quickly rose to success, most recently achieving a podium finish at the Audi Quattro Winter Games.

New Zealand's first Olympic medalist in thirty years

Like Fairhall, Garcia-Knight dreams big and is prepared to put in the hardwork required to achieve greatness in his chosen field. Garcia-Knight aims to become the first athlete since alpine skier Annelise Coberger to win a medal at a Winter Olympics.

Technology that'll take you anywhere

New Zealand's short seasons mean that Garcia-Knight needs to take advantage of every opportunity to be up the mountain despite access road conditions. Archibalds Audi selected the A4 allroad as the perfect match for Garcia-Knight's lifestyle and requirements - rugged styling, an extra 50mm of height and dynamic styling made it an easy choice.

Celebrating greatness

The partnership was announced at an intimate gathering hosted by Curator's House. Garcia-Knight met Archibalds Audi clients and spoke on what it takes to become world class. Food was provided by Curator's House and matching wines by Misty Cove Wines. An undoubted highlight was the pairing of Curator's House paella and Misty Cove Wines Organic Sauviggnon Blanc.
