Meet Our - Business Managers
Hullo, my name is Simon Unger and I am the Business Manager at Archibalds Motors. I have been here seven years (I'm still one of the new guys) and have been involved in the finance industry 27 years. Seems just like yesterday.
I was brought up a Cantabrian and after my OE years in the States and the UK returned home. I had stints in Auckland and Dunedin but am now firmly back in Christchurch with my wife Kate and two sons (studying at Otago and Victoria), our cat and dog. With the growth in car sales I am very busy, like so many of our customers, many of whom have thanked me for making the process easier. Aside from my passion for cars and finance, I enjoy the All Blacks and naturally the almighty Crusaders, skiing and fishing. I also love brass bands, and am the connection at work with our sponsorship of the award-winning Woolston Brass.
As I said I've been here a while now, and quite simply I just love the challenge of assisting people to purchase the right car but keep inside their budget. I look forward to helping you into your next one.
Hi I’m Natalie, I’m originally from the East of England and moved out to New Zealand with my partner in 2014. We have travelled around most of New Zealand now and have chosen to settle in Christchurch as it’s just the most amazing city; there aren’t many other places in the world that you can both ski & surf in the same day!
I’ve worked in retail management and also worked for Barclays Bank back in the UK. This was where I first discovered the world of finance and I have been hooked ever since. Being able to help clients into their ideal car whilst staying within their budget is very fulfilling and as a people pleaser there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a huge smile and knowing that you have contributed to that smile.
Outside of the work place I would say that I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie and my fix changes from season to season… In the winter you’ll find me up Mt Hutt skiing my way through the powder and in the warmer months I’ll be cruising the beautiful South Island roads on my motorbike. On the opposite end of the spectrum I do enjoy getting lost in a good book with a nice cup of tea
Not that I am biased, but my dream car would be the Audi SQ7 (definitely one with all of the bells and whistles). It’d be perfect on the ski field access roads and big enough and comfortable enough (and definitely fast enough) to take it on some decent road trips.
